The parade has its origins in the year 1953 when Gertrude Whittle convinced the Long Beach city council and council of churches to help decorate the grass median on Daisy Avenue with a Christmas village and nativity scene. Instead of walking to all parades, why not relax and tour on the Big RED bus. The bus is taking all holiday revelers and tourists to see all the Christmas Lights Cruises. Lights of Naples

This is one spectacular parade of lights you must not miss!  The houses around Naples Island have one of the best and breathtaking displays of Christmas and Hanukkah lights in Southern California. Taking place on 15th December at 6.00 pm with boats sailing along the Peninsula. You can get a good view from the bridges along the canal.  If you want a more romantic feel, hire a gondola to see the lights of Naples. Festival of 1000 lights makes Downtown Long Beach bright

The yearly festival of lights takes place from Dec 1st to 24th. More than 30 businesses will participate in the festive spirit by decorating lights. The Shoreline Yacht Club presents the yearly parade of boats decorated with Christmas lights. Boats of all sizes and shapes participate in this annual parade.  You don’t need to be a member to take part. A $15 fee is charged for each participant.
